SmackDown on LivingH2O month (aka the fight for the top)

 Those of you who know him feel like this image.. We all just wanna run up behind LivingH2O and smack him down. For more months than I can possibly recall, he has been the point man, the leader, the KING of our stats on Call of Duty 4. This month, the month of August, I say it ends! The rules are simple: Beat him. Knock him out of the #1 spot by the end of the month, and hold the #1spot till midnight, Sept 1st. (EST). As a token of my appreciation you will receive a unique web achievement badge on our site, visible in places like the forums. If no one beats him, and holds the title till the 11:59PM Aug. 31st., Living himself will receive a badge proving that not only is he the king, but that he has also put a whoopin' on ALL of us (still). Fellas - I don't want to make that badge. Just to be clear, the #1 person at the end will be declared the winner, in case more than one surpass Mr. Living in this time frame. There may be more of a reward by the end of August as well, something 'much more better', as Jack Sparrow would say, than a web achievement badge, but you'll have to wait and see. Good luck to all during this fight for the top month!

If you're not signed up for the HQ TWL team (HQ is a separate signup on the twl site, NOT  the same as our DOM team) please get signed up and select which date works best for you in the forums here. If you need the team join info, just Xfire Rooster or Woz :) We brought victory to the DOM team, let's do the same for the HQ team!!
**PLEASE NOTE** The date is Thursday, July 31th, 9:30PM EST. Please be sure you're signed up for the event!
ALSO NOTE WEBHOST IS ACTING SQUIRRLEY AGAIN - Taking excessively long times to load the site, often timing out. Ticket submitted yet again over this. Might have been fixed, we'll see.. (not the 1st time I've heard that).

COD4: Rotation #2 Online!

Our server is now running the second rotation set of maps from our Map Pack. If you downloaded the Big (3.2Gb roughly) torrent of maps, don't worry, you already have these maps! If you HAVEN'T downlo aded the map pack, I highly recommend you do, as we have at least 2 more rotations worth of maps that we'll be using from them. You are of course welcome to just join the server and you'll be redirected to our broadband, high-speed download service. Members of cKs will find the new map list in the Members Forum area. Guests and members alike are welcome/encouraged to Xfire Rooster with any suggestions regarding game-types for this new rotation. Remember, just as with the 1st rotation, the majority of maps are set to TDM (war) and will be updated over the next few days as the maps reveal their ideal role to us. Thanks and enjoy rotation #2!!

There was a problem with the datacenter and all the hosted game servers were down (ours included). It is back up now. Also a few changes have been made to our custom maps server. First, the damage system has been altered to more properly reflect a hardcore server. We have also shorted spawn times for TDM and FFA-based games to 4 seconds. Lastly, there has been an issue with spawning in only certain locations, which SHOULD be fixed as of now as well (though a populated server will be needed to verify this!) Thanks, and enjoy :)

CONGRATULATIONS...
are in order for the following personnel:

These troops stood up to represent cKs today vs. the 101st Skele's and walked away victorious in the TWL Domination ladder. Special thanks goes out to the rest (Living and I) for showing up, but not being needed! Also like to send a thanks to the 101st, if they ever check here, as we have been trying to get our two groups together for what seems like forever, heh.. And after the last minute server issue (being it was running last months TWL rules and had to be updated rather hastily), not to mention one of our members kicking one of theirs (F12 is NOT the print screen key!!), yea it started off real rough, but things took a turn for the better soon after, and a great match was had. Kudos to you all
