5/15/2012: Rcon Server is (finally) back up and running. All of it duties have been resumed and all should be well.
5/12/2012: In an apparent attempt to save Mother's Day across the world (or at least our clans), some higher power prevented the truck from delivering said power supply pushing the arrival date to this coming Monday. Server still runs, just without commands, should be arriving early morning Monday and all will resume to a proper functioning condition..
5/9/2012: The remote admin server took a dump last night - 1U power supply died and I have no backup for that particular unit. It's on order and server should be back online by Friday evening. Any issues, contact your friendly neighborhood Rooster :)
4/05/2012: An update has arrived for one of the admin tools which is going to cause some minor downtime in the next day or two. (the other tool expects to also have an update available soon but will not require any downtime). The tool will still work perfectly fine, but after the update there will be a few new commands to support features added to the most recent (R20) patch. It's an invasive patch and will not be deployed till I am certain it doesn't "mess" with our existing settings :)
3/29/2012: Not much to say, we've been tweaking things here and there behind the scenes to get the server dialed in, and listed on the HC filter, lol, which it is currently.. There is a 1.5GB patch file, and a server-side update (R20 for those who like to google and know what's what), so who knows what lies in the road to come.. Get the patch and join us on TS :)
I'm happy to report an alliance has been formed once again with our good allies in Christ, the [WOTC] Warriors of the Cross. As you can see above, our newly born server is online and ready for players! (Well, sort of!)
As always, expect some small bumps in the road as we tune the server settings and get things dialed in just right. We're going for a mixed gametype Hardcore server. Name is not set, just something I threw in there for the time being. We all agree that our clans will not have a presence in the name as it just isn't fair to either side. Instead, we're going to go with the likes of Polite & Friendly., etc. and run with something without clan mention in the title.
For those who still have procon installed (be sure you update it), you will be set up shortly, within the day. Start getting the word out, and start playing on ours, lol :)
After several posts and comments, only one person who was committed to donating for BF3 stepped up, but we were left no where near the amount needed. I don't know what's up, in part to my being away for the holidays yet checking here on a multi-daily basis, but it seems no matter what we try to do here, our cKs people just want to play on other servers. Even having 1 player to start can't get our server going. People always flopping between WOTC'sts, playing elsewhere always.. I don't know what to say. Without a server we have absolutely no way to grow. Without growth every member who goes a.w.o.l or disappears because of real life "gettin in the way" is one extremely missed person who makes our numbers that much fewer. I had a list of committed donators who volunteered to step up and help fund this thing, yet, without any complaint, comment, or word otherwise only one followed through. Yes, I mentioned there were two donators earlier, one was a donation from a regular. So I really and truly have no idea what to say at this point because I have made several attempts to address the issue, find out what's up etc., short of beating down people's personal email addresses, (which I'm not about to do) in order to find out what happened. No one has replied to the posts, so I assume it's a personal matter, like I find myself in all the time and they just couldn't afford it. Still, some word, pm,im, direct to me WOULD have been nice, but whatever. What's done is done. TS will be back up as soon as they unlock the account, see ya on other servers I guess.

Hello Christian Game Players!!
So just a little bit of news for June.. Obviously the new Black Ops expansion pack is in full swing! cKs2 has been moved to California from NY/NJ. As you know there's been much debate over what will become of it. With some of our members for unknown reasons getting poor connections on our Dallas server and the NY server being absolutely dead, we're trying this out to see if the second server can be brought to live. It is HC and is set to team tactical running ONLY DLC maps. Memebers can mess around with those settings of course, but the 24/7 connected tool is instructed to keep it on course, so you'll need to PM me to disable it, or we can discuss !kill access if necessary.. Really though, it's a trial thing, and if the server doesn't draw any business, per se, then this will likely be the end of it.
There has been a dramatic rise in activity within BFBC2 according to Xfire within our gaming clan. If you're looking for something not Black Ops, and like BFBC2, then apparently it's your lucky day! (we all like a change!)
I can't stress enough that if you're around your PC and lookin' for gamers to game with in ANY game, get on xfire. With summer here the numbers have dove even lower than usual, as expected, so us gamers have to stick together :) As I stare at my screen at the time or writing, there is one clannie on out of the forty something, and only 7 'friends' of, well, I have a TON of people in my friends on xfire, lol, so there being only 7 is really, really bad lol!
I know there are many stoked and excited for Battlefield 3 (self included), but drop us a note in the fourms and let us know what else you're excited about, upcoming game wise! Especially, but certainly not limited to if it's something that offers dedicated servers (hint hint).

PS: Both servers renamed, Christian cKs1 (and 2) for emphasis on Christian gaming, instead of just cKs, so look for Christian cKs2 and favorite it, it's a different IP, so the original cKs2 will be dropped from your list until someone else acquires it (ackward!!)
PSS: You can also (FINALLY) use /connect 173.199.86.110:3084 as of a recent patch!
Battlefield 3 is coming fellas, and MW3 is right on it's heels! - The internet is abuzz with activity as is our teamspeak! Whether you're a cKs member, a regular on our servers, a member of another clan, or just someone popping in, I'm posting today to ask for your help.
cKs members: If you're planning on playing BF3 or MW3, get active here - Post in the forums and start declaring your intent to play. This will help us determine the size of server(s) necessary, and give us internally a good metric on what kind of cod / bf split we'll be experiencing. For those who frequent other servers in COD:BO or other games, ask other clans if they are going to get a BF3 server. If not, ask if they'd be interested in an alliance or cross-promotion, where our guys and theirs can advertise and play on each others games.
Visitors/regulars/fellow Christian 'other' clanners: Like noted above - cKs is looking for fellow clans - particularly ones not initially hosting a BF3 server. I would like to do some cross-promotion with your clan - You can contact me at rooster )at( christiankeysmashers *dot* com, on on xfire, add mtxrooster - Be sure if you're not on my xfire list to specify cross promotion or something in the friend request :)

Just a couple things I wanted to address this month.
First and most important, I'd like to ask you to all say a prayer for Gadget and his family as well as Naz and his. They both have had some personal situations and issues keeping them from going on about their daily lives. In fact, both have been away from us for quite some time, which is one of the reasons I ask you to all pray for them, as we don't really know how things are at this point. We want ya'll to know, if you're reading this, we miss ya and hope things get better soon!
Also in the news, the website update is being postponed until further notice. The new system in place, as it turns out is vastly different and highly in-compatitable with anything out there, and since this site is a mesh of about 3 different security layer systems, that just makes it all the much more complicated to make it function. So I'm going to hold off until some, or a majority of the required modules in place are updated, enabling a smoother transition. On the bright side, most of the custom code used here has been updated and will work with the new system.
Game servers, and even teamspeak have taken a big hit in activity. I myself have suffered from a bombardment of home/personal issues, and I know others have as well. If you're able to hop on, please do so. TS is a great voice gathering location to get things rolling, and determine when it's time to get our servers going :) Thanks to all those cKs who are out there representing, both on ours as well as on other game servers. Spring/Summer are often a clan's roughest times, and our group is no exception. For a variety of reasons, gaming activity drops often times, so we really need to pull together through these tougher times. I'll try to get some organized events going, if we can muster up enough troops.
No servers means no donation tracking.. You are always welcome to donate towards server fee's for the site, ts, or just to build a kitty for future servers.

Attn members and guests: The clicking / non-stop refresh and dead portion of our site is being caused by a gametracker.com issue, the site which provides the data for our servers, game and voice. It is currently out of our hands to resolve, as it's something internally to do with their site. I hope just as you do that they resolve it in a timely manner :)
