Well after a couple of months of planning and discussing and debating (and waiting on the motorcycle to sell).....the build is done!

All that remains of completing the system now is to start installing software.

I must say...I won't be taking on that task again soon....I've decided that trying to decipher geek speak and dealing with the various opinions on things was quite frustrating, but I think the reward will be worthwhile.

I made some "modifications" to the original plans and had to adjust a few things (like the budget)...but I'm quite pleased with the end result.

So without further delays...here is what I ended up with:

AMD FX8350 Back Edition 8 core processor
ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z Motherboard
Windows 7 64 bit pro
Thermaltake Level 10GT Gaming Case
Thermaltake TPG1200W 80 plus gold power supply
Crucial 16gb 2X8 D3 1866 DIMM CL13 memory
Samsung E 500gb 840evo sata3 SSDD
Seagate 2tb 3.5 7200 rpm int HDD
IPSG LG 24x DVDRW SATA OEM
MSI R9-290 4gb D5 Gamining PCIE Video Card

Grand Total was $2065. I have $90 of mail in rebates to send off, and I got a $200 in store steam credit as well as 2 free games of my choice from Radeon. (not sure what they offer yet).

I'll be re-using my G510, G13, G700 as well as my dual Acer Monitors from the old system. I also will of course still have my 5tb of external hard drives, external DVDRW....all plugged into a Crate PX700 amp head with dual 12" Speaker cabinets for sound (when not using the headphones).

All I can so thus far is GEEEE Ain't that purdy when you turn the switch on...lol (it has lots of LED lights that change colors)

A HUGE thanks to:

Gadget
Running Man
Rooster
Wooky
Living
56ker
Art
And everyone else I forgot to mention (I'm running on 2 hours of sleep).

Did I mention that I think I can heat my house with thing in the winter???

Hey man - Someone recently asked me about that exact same case - The GT10 Snow Edition I think it is (white/black case) - Have you been enjoying that case? After about a year of use what are your thoughts on it?
