snooping around trying to get my WoW game set up i have stumbled upon a rather interesting game.

everybody knows what counter-strike is right? well hows about a cartoony top down version that has all the same bells and whistles including online play and DEDICATED SERVERS!!!! :o

best of all its all FREE!!! its considered shareware so there no licensing problems.

ive already tried it out and i can pretty much say that the people who made this did a great job of capturing the essence of CS. basically you use all the standard controls like WSAD to move around and your mouse to aim and fire. i tried to play it with my finger pad on my lappy and that isnt recommended. not that it doesnt work, you just wont live very long lol

Hey all, Rooster here. I want to publically inform everyone that Rooster will start cleaning house over the next few weeks. While adding our latest member, I realized there are MANY members I've not seen or heard from in months. To be fair, I've noticed this for awhile, but hadn't realized the actual extent of the issue till tonight. I looked up several members, many of which have not been seen online here in 130+ days, and similar nuimbers echoed from xfire.

If you are a member of cKs caught up in real life issues, that's cool. Just let me know you're alive and kicking, and still want to be a member, etc. We all know gaming comes fourth (if that!) to God and family and work for most, and would never hold that against ya! In the next couple days I will be contacting our inactive members via their listed cKs email as well as the registerd forum email in an attempt to get ahold of ya. If nothing is heard by the fifth day, non-responsive members will be put into the AWOL (Absent WithOut Leave, as they say) status where they will in limbo till removed or they respond, whichever comes first.

Being active is important to the clan. As a Christian clan, we try to appease eveyone, but there comes a time when action must be taken. As a gaming clan, it is my responsibility to ensure that our members out there playing, can recommend us to potential members as a social network of Christian gamers. I mean no personal offense to anyone who ends up AWOL, or removed from the clan, should it come to that. I hope you can understand my situation, as it's hard to promote a clan which currently has almost 40 members, yet, we're getting to the point where 15-20 of them just might not be here at all. That number is an estimate of course, not actual data, but with us being a 'smaller' clan than some others, every body counts.

If you have been inactive and are reading this, please beat me to the punch and fire up Xfire and let me know you're there.

Thanks to Naz for posting this link the other day.

You're all aware of the situation with MW2 I've no doubt. That said, as (un)popular as it is, very few gaming publication writers are actually TALKING about it. Sure, they state the facts, but the majority of 'text' about what crap it is mainly comes from people like us, who leave 'replies' to their general news stories. Ya follow what I'm saying, right?

Well, "Josh McCarther" has stood up, and posted a very well-written "blog" on the 1up.com site. I encourage you all to take a moment (or 10) and read it.

Just wanted to take a moment and let the members and community know that right now, our Custom Maps COD4 server is going through some trying times. Please do not rage away if the server ends up in an infinite (or similar) downloading loop. To keep the game fresh and exciting, we frequently add new custom maps to the server. The downside is that sometimes you end up with a weed; a bad map that ruins it for other maps. In this case, you can't detect the 'bad' map by loading it, or by waiting for it to come in the map rotation. The flaw can (and will) strike at any time, any random moment (well, random being on the load of ANY given map, not like during a round or anything).

We don't want to yank the most recent set of maps unless absolutely necessary. We're going through them to determine which might be the cause, and will seek an update or remove it if necessary.

If the server starts this "looping" process, please IM Naz or Roost in X-fire, of if ya don't have us on your list, please be patient and understanding and try back later. I hope for this to be resolved soon.
