Got a bunch of news to report, for those who haven't been following the forums!

First up, anyone who pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2 and has a beta/demo release, we are currently running the demo server for it! The demo server will convert to the retail on launch day, but till then you can check it out right here!!

Additionally, as partially a result of the MW2 news, we have decided to pick up a Battlefield 2 server. It is a 32-man server and currently set to the larger map sizes to employ all the available aircraft (meaning aircraft friendly). Server is called Christian ~cKs~ and is located at 8.2.121.29:16567. It is running on a trial bases. There has been alot of hooplah about BF2 lately, and enough of us feel there's potential to get a server going there. If not, it will be a short-lived endeavour, as sometimes happens.

Speaking of short-term endeavours. As mentioned in the forums, this is the official post that several of our servers are going away. For the details, I recommend hitting up the forums and reading up. When the dust settles, we will have the following: 1 COD4 (CSTM) server, 1 L4D Server, 1 L4D2(demo then retail) server, 1 BF2 server. Comments always welcome about the server selection/utilization. We're willing to get/try anything, as long as there are members who want to occupy them :) There was some talk about converting the COD4 Zomb server to a Freezetag server, and I'll tell ya, I really considered it - Problem is, that ever so popular Freezetag server can't keep itself running, and I don't see us taking up any 'market-share' of additional players looking to play it. Who knows what will transpire down the pike, like I said, any thing (server) is possible :)

And remember - CONTINUE TO BOYCOTT MW2!!!

I checked my server IM's, a place where naz frequently contacts me when there is an issue he can't address, or wants to pass something on to me, but my main Xfire (ala gaming rig) is off..

I read it twice, and still thought, "Naz is crazy". Then right before a brief internet outtage here, Uri ALSO sent me an IM, with a link as well..

Folks, I don't even know what to say. If this doesn't get reversed, are we even going to BUY MW2?

If you haven't heard, and this is NO JOKE - IW is NOT releasing any dedicated server, not releasing any mod tools, and basically, essentially forcing the PC to play like a console (what I mean by that is you won't have the free selection to play on any server ya like.. it'll designate you one. Now this whole thing about the designating is still 'gray area', however, the rest is not. It is swear on a stack of Bibles direct word from IW's public relations.

If you have pre-ordered. Get on the phone. Cancel it. Get the word directly to your retail sales company that this is unacceptable. Also - Sign the petition at the Official IW forums (yes, go through the hassle of making an account JUST to post there that you /sign as well). And like Naz and Uri did to me, continue to spread the word about this, or our fun potential times for COD:MW2 = screwed. And back to COD4 / COD5 for us I guess :( (or whatever else is comin down the pike).

COD4 Custom Maps in the hizzle!!

For those who were not aware, the past few weeks we've been working on switching one of our COD5 servers back to a COD4 server, and set it up with a new mod to run custom maps. I'm proud to announce that it is officially up and running! Any of you who came when short falls caused uncontrollable bleeding, and you weren't able to walk (IE it was crouch only or be punished) I encourage you to return as these issues have been addressed.

With the server now functioning, expect to see a COD4 stats page soon. I realize many of you (self included) will be moving on to cod6 when it comes out, and therefore the stats may not get that much use, but it is fun and worth the braggin' rights!

I'd also like to send a shot-out to all the cKs members who've been poppin out of the woodwork. It's been a true blessing to get to game with so many of you once again. Hope that this is a trend which continues to grow throughout our group :)

COD5 1.6 Update

New maps / Update 1.6 has been installed on the server. If you can manage to tear yourself away from the re-increasingly popular COD4 lineup we've got going, the new maps have quite a popular buzz going on!
